WING LUKE ELEMENTARY
Spaces that
Shape Students
Nestled in Seattle’s South Beacon Hill neighborhood, Wing Luke Elementary School serves families from some of the most diverse communities in the region. As a designated Bilingual Center School, Wing Luke offers a vibrant, multicultural environment where many languages are spoken and celebrated, including Somali, Vietnamese, Chinese, Spanish, Cambodian, and Cham.
The school is proudly named after Wing Chong Luke, Seattle’s first non-white city council member and the first Asian American elected official in the Pacific Northwest. A dedicated civil rights leader, Luke played a key role in passing Seattle’s Open Housing Ordinance. In the same spirit as its namesake, Wing Luke Elementary places diversity, inclusion, and community at the heart of everything it does.
NAC specified floor to ceiling walls of texture to create the warm welcome the community was looking for.
