Intentional unintentions of Philippe Starck

Usually, I think the eclectic aesthetic can become “cluttery” and really, who likes clutter? I think we are all trying to minimize the mess and cut back because, again really, who likes clutter? Obviously, this is why minimalism is so appealing. I think that minimalistic interior design, however, can lose the human connectivity and livability because it is almost too clean. KPMB Architects make Less, More.

I don’t subscribe to the statement that “less is more” because most of the time it isn’t true. Think of the last live music concert you attended. Wait, the last GOOD concert you attended. And what did you do at the end? You hollered “ENCORE! ENCORE! ENCORE!” because you didn’t want the the ear-phoric music to end or the night for that matter. Less is more???? Of course not. Mark Stoddart

Mark Stoddart‘s original coffee and dining tables are a piece of magnificent craftsmanship. His website states that each sculpture is “created with a level of extraordinary care – the bronze finish and patina of each limited edition piece is lovingly and individually completed by a select coterie of hand picked and highly skilled craftsmen. To ensure that the glass element does not appear as an afterthought, the whole piece is designed with the glass as an integral part of the sculpture. The Hippo for instance has the glass as the water surface and the bolts which attach...

Mobile Bed Cube

I just want it, okay? Except not in pink. But YOU can have it in pink! Take a look and let us know what you think!! I love the make-shift projector screen on the inside of the cube. Who wouldn’t want to cozy up with a blanket, a billion (and by billion, I mean seven) pillows, some popcorn, hot chocolate, or ice cream to that goodness?! For more info, check out enpundit‘s article...

The warm Spring air can do almost anything. When I say almost anything, I use almost, because it will not save a life after an auto accident or save your home if you stop paying the mortgage…….but a few of the many things it can do are: freshen up your living space or office space by invigorating your day and filling you with energy. Sometimes, so much so that you want nothing more than to simply go outside. Which can even motivate you to work harder. So, if this warm Spring air is so good, why not bring it inside? John Matthews Architects based in San Mateo, California does just...
